Aug. 27th, 2011 08:43 pm Narvaez - Guardame Las Vacas (Slow)

I think the slower version is ready.

(Feedback welcome, since I am still working on it).

Thanks! :)
Glad you liked it.

I am intrigued with your feedback and now trying to "learn" the difference in mood between slow and fast version. I think I started to see something, but not sure/not clear yet.

You know, in shows about various places (different countries or cities), about their nature, culture, architecture and so on and so forth there's sometimes music playing playing in the background and it does not exhibit much of emotion, it's very light, almost relaxing. I think this piece should be like that. That's why I want it slower and have little variation in loudness and accents, I want it light.

Hey, that's a really new point, much better than just "I enjoy slower version".

To be honest, while playing slow, I consciously tried to preserve the same dynamics (quiet & loud parts, accents) as in fast version, but while playing slow it's a challenge + melancholic tempo forces a certain mood upon you :) So, probably the only reason why the first part turned out to be more monotonous is that I failed my attempts to make it dynamically rich :)

But really, if this is what you want, I can record a much better version for you, it can easily be made monotonously smooth throughout! :)

Not exactly monotonous, but with small(er) mood swings.
